I’m coming back to this post a year later to say that I witnessed David ride a horse and they got along famously. I was really hoping to see David get run over by a truck and then stomped by a horse, like suggested below, but the ride went without incident.

The very fact that your wish requires that I be hit by a truck BEFORE being stampeded by horses only proves my point. You’re totally right, there needs to be a truck because horses are such weak, sissy creatures that their stampede would scarcely abuse my horse skin boots and necklace made of horse ears.

Senor Doodlemax: That man/woman may have you on equestrian knowledge…but maybe your next diss should be on people who confuse there/their and here/hear. Also I get the feeling that for this person the head is not their favorite part of a horse (nudge, nudge, wink, wink, know-what-i-mean).

Can’t believe someone like that even found your post…or would look at it closely enough to read how much horses freak you out. Makes me love this post all the more. There is no bigger sign of respect than having someone hate you.

Okay, so apparently you don’t know much about horses, hmmm…typical. So there eyes huh? Did you know (no you didn’t) that horses have magnificent eyes? You can ask any horse person and they will tell you that you can know a horse just by looking in there eye. I have NO IDEA where you got the horse has a fly on his eye and didn’t blink stuff. He probably just became tolerant because you aren’t a kind enough person to put fly spray on his face, or a fly mask. Oh, excuse me, you probably don’t know what that is. It prevents flies. So by dull the horse either had a health problem or you are just talking about the fact they have brown eyes. Well, if they don’t have a shine in their eye, something is wrong. So whatever horse you were with, it had an issue. If it’s because they are brown, then I guess you must hate most animals, because they also have brown eyes, not to mention people. You know why horse’s eyes are big (no you don’t). It is because they are prey animals! They have to see! So their face is horrid? Funny, because most sane and normal people think the best part of a horse, is their head. Which makes sense, obviously (maybe not in your case), but the beautiful eyes, the perfect muzzle covered in whiskers, that forelock coming over their forehead, and those perfect ears that are magnificent in their own way. I mean, heck, they named a nebula after a horse’s head, and in a good way! Now, heck ya, I’m gonna get you started about your first ride! Obviously, you had a bad experience. Heard this too many times. Have you ever seen what can be accomplished on the back of a horse (no.) Dressage, reining, show jumping, eventing, vaulting, cutting, and saddleseat just to name a few. Dressage, a horse performs a series of very difficult movements without the rider saying a word. A true bond. Reining, almost the same as dressage, but with a western saddle rather than english, and different movements. Show jumping, a horse is timed over a series of jumps that often reach as high as 6 feet and even higher. Eventing, a three day event consisting of dressage, showjumping, and cross country, a long course including jumps, water hazards, and difficult terrain, while the horse is timed. Vaulting, a series of trick on the back of a horse, anything from flips to laying down as a horse walks, trots, and canters (slow gallop) around. Cutting, a sport in which the rider picks a calf from a group, and keeps him out of it while on the horse, who learns to do it himself, and the rider rarely has to have input to direct the horse. Saddleseat, the horse is animated and shows off as he goes around the arena, stepping high and looking animated. There are so many more sports in equestrianism, but these are the ones you will here of often. Oh, about their teeth, they are decided to eat grass, so you must respect the fact they have teeth like that. You go out in your yard and try and rip up grass, tell me how that works out. Horses do not intentionally try to bite you unless they have a problem with you or a respect issue. You obviously know nothing about training, much less feeding a little apple to a horse. It’s not like he was thinking “OH LET ME BITE THIS GUY WHEN I COULD BE EATING A TREAT.” You weren’t careful apparently. You do realize a dog can bite as well. I take it you are just an animal hater?
